Bondex is looking to recruit a Senior Economy Designer in this role you will take ownership of the top notch web3 game economies, driving their design, and development and balancing them on a first-of-its-kind, outstanding BR 2.0 AAA third-person shooter.

Candidate requirements

These are the minimum requirements a candidate must meet to be considered for this role.

  • This position requires strong economic and analytical game design skills and expertise, monetization and marketing knowledge, and a passion for modern business models
  • 5+ years of game development experience with at least 3+ years as an Economy Designer or Analytics/Economist with Economy Design major part of the responsibilities
  • Design or Analytics/Economist with Economy design a major part of responsibilities
  • Experience in creating and managing large Spreadsheets and analysing data
  • Experience in structuring and organising yourself (and a small dedicated team would be a plus)
  • Thorough understanding and appreciation of game design, player motivations, and deep understanding of the impact of economies on players' needs and emotions
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to break problems down and solve them
  • Market knowledge and experience in monetization strategies to improve KPI performances
  • Passion for games, especially Battle Royales and PvP competitive games

Desirable

  • Experience working with machinations
  • Ability to mentor more junior members
  • A proven record of economy design
  • Web3 knowledge or work experience
  • AAA game work experience

Job responsibilities

  • Designing rules and parameters for features and systems.
  • Ensuring the economy is sustainable, player rewards and incentives, currencies, content development's time and costs
  • Maintain an overall balance between multiple interacting economic systems to establish a healthy game economy
  • Collaborating with a highly talented and experienced team
  • Providing insight and expertise for potential sales drivers and spreading that knowledge within the team
  • Designing, balancing, and tuning game systems, economy loops and progression systems with input and feedback from team and players alike, to serve Game Design Intentions and create the most satisfying player experiences
  • Creating design documentation, mockups, excel workbooks, diagrams, flowcharts, and any other necessary documents to communicate design functionality and vision
  • Analyzing data to improve the player experience and relevant KPIs
  • Develop simulations to test and iterate on economy systems for a live environment
